Top things to do in the UK this Bank Holiday Weekend

Mindful weekend

We're not gong to lie, it was incredibly difficult to pick our top things to do this Bank Holiday Weekend. With so much to do and see around the UK, we struggled to pick our favourites.

Importantly, spend the long weekend relaxing, having fun and being with those you most enjoy.

1.) Notting Hill Carnival

Europe's largest street event, comes alive once a year, across the whole bank holiday weekend. This vibrant carnival it's a firm favourite of ours and is suitable for all the family to enjoy. Spend the day in Notting Hilll watching the carnival as it parades down the streets, filled with wonderful costumes, loud music and Caribbean inspired food.

Get your dancing shoes on and head to West London this weekend.

2.) Head to the coast

The UK boasts some of the most beautiful beaches in Europe, making the beach a great day out. Some of our favourites include Bournemouth's golden sandy beaches, West Wittering beach in Chichester, Botany Bay in Kent, Lunan Bay in Scotland and Blackpool sands in South Devon.

3.)  Visit a National Park

Whether it's a day trip or a weekend getaway, pack your walking boots and head to one of the UK's wonderful national parks. Our favourite is the Lake District. Boasting breathtaking scenery, endless walks and plenty of spots for a picnic, the Lake district ticks all the boxes.

4.) Visit a local market

What better way to prepare for a family and friends picnic then selecting your own fresh food from a market.

Our favourite has to be Borough Market in London. As you wind in and out of the market stalls, your taste buds are treated to an array of foods, such as fresh breads and cakes, as well as champagne and a huge selection of cheeses.

What a great way to try new foods with friends.

5.) BBQ in the garden

We couldn't end without the mention of a summer BBQ. Invite friends and family to enjoy yummy food, in what feels like the last few days of the summer sun. If you're in need of some fresh food ideas, take a look at our previous blog post.

When you're out and about this bank holiday weekend, remember to relax and enjoy. Control your mood with your Scentered therapy balms and candles. Apply your balms throughout the day as little or as often as you like.

Have a fantastic weekend.
