The February Self-Love Challenge

We hear the word self-love all the time, but a lot of us still find it hard to make time to tell ourselves we are unique, powerful, and amazing in our own ways.

Which is why for the whole of February we want you to choose your own form of self-love expression and make time for it.

We've even created a February calendar that you can jot your plans down as a reminder because if it's written down it's set in stone, right?
We want to make this as easy as possible, so we don't want to tell you to pick up a habit overnight because that's not how things happen and we understand that, so let's do this the good old 'baby steps' way.

1) STEP ONE - WHAT MAKES YOU HAPPY?

Write down 10 little things that make you happy. I mean anything from having a coffee to organising your desk or watching twilight (guilty!).

Write down 5 bigger things that make you happy like the gym, dinner out, buying new fancy underwear, the world is your oyster.

Now think BIG-ish planning a vacation, seeing family for a weekend, watching all 4 Twilight films back to back.

2) STEP TWO - FILL YOUR CALENDAR WITH THE THINGS THAT MAKE YOU HAPPY

Feel free to miss some out, or put some in twice, or even every day (I love my coffee) and if when you start you find that it turns out you won't have the time to do that huge happy thing, that's also okay, replace it with a little thing.

The important thing is you are consciously making steps in putting your happiness as a priority and in that moment you are looking after your wellbeing.

3) STEP THREE - MAKE IT HAPPEN

Do this for yourself. It's hard to be happy for the ones around you when you're not treating yourself with the same kindness. You hear the phrase "treat others the way you would want to be treated", but how about treating yourself the way you would want others to treat you.
Be your own source of happiness, that way you can always rely on it.

4) STEP FOUR - Tiny tiny little extra step. Tell yourself something you like/love about yourself every day.

Write an ambiguous note on your mirror that only you have to understand that reminds you to do this. I don't just mean I love the way my eyes sparkle, but something about your character.
REMIND YOURSELF THAT YOU ARE KIND, CONSIDERATE, UNDERSTANDING, AMIABLE, EMPATHETIC, INTUITIVE, PASSIONATE, PRACTICAL... PSYCHOSOCIAL.

Anything, but most importantly you are you, and no one can be better than that, and if you start to forget remember to
